“What the hell does that mean?”

Netflix will tell us just what that means. Today they released a new trailer to introduce us to Danny Rand’s story ahead of next month’s premiere of the first season.

Danny, scion of the Rand Enterprises empire, returns many years after being thought killed in the private jet crash that took his parents’ lives. Young Danny was found by monks of K’un-Lun, a mystical city hidden within the mountains of China, and trained in martial arts to command the power of the Iron Fist.

Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) stars as Danny Rand, the Iron Fist. Danny meets both Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing and Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple in the new trailer. He also reconnects with the Meachums, Howard (David Wenham, The Lord of the Rings), Ward (Tom Pelphrey, As the World Turns), and Joy (Jessica Stroup, 90210), the family that currently owns his family’s company.

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. Marvel’s Iron Fist premieres March 17, 2017 exclusively on Netflix.
