The official Twitter feed for Marvel’s The Punisher may just have revealed all 13 episode titles of the first season in a fascinating and relevant way.
Earlier today, cryptic messages began appearing on the feed. Those familiar quickly recognized it as written Morse Code, the series of dots and dashes that represent letters and whole words.
I can’t say how often Morse code is typically used in the service any longer, but communications using the system were frequently employed by branches of the U.S. Armed Forces throughout history. It’s use here speaks to Frank Castle’s background, which will play a large part in the series’ story.
Entertainment Weekly decoded the thirteen tweets, revealing what many assume to be the titles for each episode of this first slate of punishment. There has been no official confirmation as of yet.
1.1: “3 AM”
1.2: “Two Dead Men”
1.3: “Kandahar”
1.4: “Resupply”
1.5: “Gunner”
1.6: “The Judas Goat”
1.7: “Crosshairs”
1.8: “Cold Steel”
1.9: “Front Toward Enemy”
1.10: “Virtue of the Vicious”
1.11: “Danger Close”
1.12: “Home”
1.13: “Memento Mori”
The Twitter feed also released a new teaser for the series, which you can see below.
