The official Twitter account for Marvel’s Daredevil offered great news today that Matt Murdock’s blind mentor Stick will be dropping in on Hell’s Kitchen once again in Season 2.

Actor Scott Glenn, who told Comic Book Resources earlier this year that the role “ranked at the top” of his favorites, returns as the caustic, grizzled, morally grey martial arts master.
Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Stick came to loggerheads during the first season over Matt’s reluctance to kill his enemies. Stick had found Matt as a young boy shortly after Matt’s father had died and he was trying to make sense of his new abilities. He trained his apprentice in both martial arts and in using his heightened senses to “see” the world in a whole new way. They eventually parted ways over a sense of attachment from Matt that Stick encouraged him not to have.
When last we saw Stick, Murdock had thrown him out of his life for killing a young Japanese child referred to as Black Sky. Stick reported the child’s death to a mysterious figure named Stone, who had ordered the murder. Stone ominously asked Stick if Murdock would be ready once they put their plan in motion.
Such an open thread required follow-up and it looks like we’re going to get it.
