The legend Stan “The Man” lends his distinctive oral prose to a new preview of Marvel’s The Defenders.

Dropping Thursday as part of the whirlwind San Diego Comic-Con 2017 hullabaloo, the teaser features Marvel Comics architect Stan Lee ruminating on heroism while introducing our four street-level New York City heroes. Stan is driven around the city, staring out on various scenes from each of the heroes’ standalone series, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

Following the preview’s crescendo, the clip is buttoned by the toss-off line of a certain gun-toting vigilante, seeming to confirm a long-believed guest appearance in the team-up mini.

Marvel’s The Defenders debuts all eight episodes on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
